The test and technology center in Immendingen is working on the fields of the future: Networking, autonomous driving, flexible use and electromobility, as well as optimizing combustion engines and further developing alternative drive systems. This sets the technological course for Daimler itself and the entire region.

Even before the test and technology center was built, there was close communication with local residents and representatives of nature conservation associations in order to identify and focus on their interests. Thanks to these open and transparent discussions between all parties involved, the center is considered a model project for large-scale construction projects throughout Germany.

With the commissioning of the test and technology center, 300 new jobs were created in the areas of research and development, transport and logistics as well as workshop and infrastructure.

In addition to objectives such as promoting and strengthening the regional economy, Daimler AG also pursues social objectives through social commitment. By sponsoring the “Donauversinkung” premium hiking trail, Daimler is making an important contribution to making the community even more attractive for both citizens and Daimler employees.
