The Princely Park in Inzigkofen

You could call what you find in the Princely Park of Inzigkofen “wild and romantic”. You can’t marvel at it all at once.

The imposing Amalienfelsen rock directly on the Danube, the stone Teufelsbrücke bridge with the small gorge below it, known as “Höll”, and the mighty Inzigkofer rock caves with the so-called “Nebelhöhle” cave.

And recently there is even a suspension bridge over the Danube.

The rocks, grottos, rock overhangs and caves have been carved and eroded by water over millions of years. The stone Devil’s Bridge and the new suspension bridge were built into this natural landscape by human hands. The result is an exciting walk through this enchanted landscape. Will you have to watch out for the devil on “his” bridge? Or encounter elves and fairies or mysterious cave dwellers?

Who will be the first to cross the Devil’s Bridge?

According to legend, the devil built the bridge and demanded the soul of the first person to cross it. But, cleverly, “only” a dog was sent across. Quite a trick.

Connecting: the new suspension bridge

After a long time without a connection between the two parts of the park to the right and left of the Danube, the municipality had a new steel suspension bridge built in 2018/2019. Now, as in the past, the entire park is once again accessible to visitors.
