Winter in the Donaubergland is something very special. At the highest heights of the Swabian Alb a dreamlike winter landscape unfolds.
In winter, the Donaubergland becomes a winter paradise. Cross-country skiing and ski touring at almost 1000 meters in the largest interconnected network of trails in the Swabian Alb.
You can also go snowshoeing, hiking and walking in the snow: discover the landscape in the Donaubergland in winter in a whole new way.
The trails in the core area of the network of the Heuberg ski trails on the highest heights of the Swabian Alb are currently groomed, some of them also rolled for skating.
The slopes and ski arenas are not yet open.
Trail network
Around 75 kilometers of groomed, interconnected cross-country ski trails at an altitude of 800 to 900 meters, at the highest altitudes of the Swabian AlbWhen there is enough snow, the trails are always freshly prepared by the many helpers and supervisors of ARGE Skiwanderwege Heuberg, more than 100 kilometers of trails in total.
This is what awaits cross-country skiers and ski hikers in the southwestern Swabian Alb above the Danube valley, as well as on the “Baden Heuberg”, to the right of the Danube or the Hegaualb!
A paradise for all cross-country skiing enthusiasts is the large network of trails in the “Region of 10 Thousand Meters” on the Heuberg on the Swabian Alb plateau!
In addition to the network of trails on the Heuberg, other trails on the heights throughout the Donaubergland and on the Swabian Alb invite you to enjoy wonderful skiing! Pure cross-country skiing!

Surrounded by the highest mountains of the Swabian Alb, in the “region of 10 thousand meters”, and in a dreamlike winter landscape, there are just as many options for challenging cross-country ski tours as there are for leisurely ski hikes for all abilities.
Connecting trails and numerous access points allow active winter guests in the region above Tuttlingen to choose their individual cross-country skiing routes according to ability, mood and desire.
In the crystal-clear winter air, with often magnificent views and the most hours of sunshine in Germany, guests are almost guaranteed a wonderful cross-country skiing experience on many days in winter.
