A canoe tour on the Danube from Hausen im Tal in Donaubergland through the Upper Danube Valley to Sigmaringen is pure adventure and a nature experience.
What could be better than experiencing nature in the Danube Valley on a boat tour?

Currently (beginning of September) the Danube has enough water again from Beuron. Canoe tours from Hausen im Tal are therefore possible again.

Canoe tours on the Danube from Beuron

The Danube is a very exciting river. In the Donaubergland it is – mostly – still a small, calm river. It usually carries very little water. That is why it is subject to special nature conservation. The aim is to protect and preserve the unique fauna and flora in the Upper Danube Valley. This is why boating on the Danube is strictly regulated.

The fact that the Danube usually carries so little water in the Upper Danube Valley is also due to the fascinating phenomenon of Danube seepage seepage.

The first starting point for the canoe tours is at the Nepomuck Bridge in the Beuron district of Hausen im Tal. There at the canoe rental of the Donautal-Touristik you can hire boats and paddle down the Danube to Sigmarigen. Tours of varying lengths are on offer.

The official boat regulations for the Upper Danube stipulates that the river must be at least 50 centimetres high (at the Beuron gauge) before boating is permitted. Only a certain number of boats may be launched per day. The canoe can only be launched between 10 a.m. and 12 noon. The tour must be completed by 6 pm at the latest.

It is therefore advisable to enquire in advance at the boat rental company and book a tour in advance if necessary.
